Bio
Grant Bay (b. 1991) lives and works in New York. He received a B.A. in Painting from Providence College in 2014. His work has been exhibited at Hunt-Cavanaugh Gallery and Reilly Gallery in Providence, Rhode Island. He has held residencies at the School of Visual Arts and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and participated in the Fugitive Time residency with filmmaker Janie Geiser at Brown University. Bay’s paintings flow between abstraction and representation, drawing on found photographs and captured video stills to make familiar figures and objects strange.
